Schiemenz's mostly towering, often intensely colored glass sculptures unfold
many times over in different lighting situations. They absorb and reflect the
light coming from outside and give the impression of glowing from within. Ten
sculptures can be seen in an installation order in the Orangery. Like raw
treasures born from the earth, they are positioned in a building that gives the
works a permanently new appearance through its different incidences of light.
